Insurance loss inspections are used to confirm that repairs are complete before making insurance funds available.
UNPPG offers insurance loss inspections to attest to the successful completion of repairs and rehab work to insurance companies before insurance funds are released. Insurance loss inspections are usually conducted on occupied properties and thus, an inspector would schedule a meeting with the homeowners within a day or two of being contacted by the servicer. The inspector is expected to explore the severity of the damage, the percentage of completed repairs and to know how satisfied with the repair the homeowner is. Clients are provided with progress report and even updates when the work is not progressing as expected.
